Naturally curious and imaginative, as an INTP my personality traits are found in 3% of the population. Depending on which profile you read, the INTP is known as a dreamy professor, an ingenious problem solver, an innovation architect, the logician…or the decidedly more bad-ass your secret weapon.
My superpowers include active listening, insight mining and creative thinking. I’m comfortable playing in the whitespace to connect the dots on better (or new) ways of thinking and doing things–especially for modern marketing and learning experience design.
According to 16personalities.com for the INTP personality:
You should listen to what an INTP has to say as their ideas tend to be thoughtful, insightful and unbiased. When it comes to dissecting a tricky multilayered problem and coming up with a creative solution, few personality types can match Logician's creative genius and potential.
Marketing is an essential literacy
The Internet, eCommerce, online communication formats and digital media platforms have democratized access to markets for everybody–from individuals to large organizations–on a global scale. The nature of jobs and work has changed to enable more entrepreneurs and freelancers. Marketing is the foundation to make any of this happen.
If you can think like a marketer marketer and understand how to do modern marketing, it will empower you to bring maximum youness to what you choose to do each day.

Developing modern marketers
No, I don’t work in “academia”. Yes, I do “learning experience design” and “personal development”. I am a professor of practice who is advancing modern marketing principles and practice by creating learning content, designing and facilitating authentic learning experiences vs. doing esoteric research on marketing to get published in academic journals.
Most of my time is spent as a full-time faculty Professor of Modern Marketing, and the Head of the Digital Media Marketing postgraduate certificate program, in the School of Marketing of the Centre for Business at George Brown College. I also consult as a Learning Experience Designer and Facilitator to the Canadian Marketing Association on their learning programs.
My areas of interest are brand/product management, marketing planning and analytics, content marketing and social media marketing.
Since 2015, over 1,000 people have trusted me to help them develop their confidence as modern marketers through my courses, presentations, seminars and workshops.
In a conversation with Petrina Davidson, she was struck by my perspective of the work I do:
I want to remind you of the brilliance of your line, “I’ve chosen not to do better marketing for organizations, but to help develop modern marketers”. It speaks to the adage, “If you give a person a fish, you feed them for a day. If you teach them to fish, you feed them for a lifetime”.
